20/10 Mentorship Scholarship

Through the Montgomery County Juvenile Court System, at-risk youth are eligible to apply for the 20/10 Mentorship Scholarship to assist with APSU tuition and fees. The selection will be done by committee which can include community investors, community volunteers, Montgomery County Juvenile Court personnel and APSU personnel.

Enrolled in or successfully completed the Montgomery County Juvenile Court at-risk program, 20/10 Mentorship

Aaron Schmidt Alumni Band Scholarship Endowment

This scholarship was created in 1983 and endowed in 2004 in honor of the late Dr. Aaron Schmidt, who served as Director of Bands from 1960-1973.

This scholarship was established in honor of fallen Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Alan Scott Faircloth. A selection committee, headed by the residing APSU Director of the School of Nursing, will award one $500 scholarship.

Alex P. Wootton, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1990 by Mark S. and Martha Em Raby in recognition of Mrs. Raby's father's dedication to the community and significant involvement in public service. Alex Wootton was instrumental in establishing the EMS services in Clarksville/Montgomery County.

Cameron Ford Watts Scholarship

Established by the family of Cameron Ford Watts, who passed away in 1993, this endowed scholarship provides an award to a student registered with the Office of Disability Services. Gifts from numerous family members and friends created this endowment which is the first scholarship at Austin Peay designated specifically for a student with a disability.

Friends of Photography is a not-for-profit association of beginning to advanced photographers from Clarksville/Montgomery County dedicated to the advancement of photographic knowledge and inspiration. Bruce Myers joined Austin Peay State University in 1970 as a mathematics professor. It was always in their nature that they should give back to the community, which had been so good to them over the years. Lynda Wilkerson Conner Education Scholarship for Student Teaching

For nearly 40 years, Lynda Wilkerson Conner was one of the first people the Austin Peay State University College of Education faculty contacted whenever they needed to place a student teacher in a classroom. In that time, she mentored dozens of future
teachers, passing along her motto, “To reach a child’s brain, you must first reach his heart.”

The Lynda Wilkerson Conner Education Scholarship will be a one semester award. There will be a recipient to receive the award for fall and another to receive the award for the spring semester.

The John and Julia Gold Agricultural Scholarship

In the United States, farmers are of both genders, come from every sector of the country and cultivate farms of various acreage. Small black farmers, make up a small percentage of the farms in this country. The Williamson-Kanervo Scholarship in Journalism

Wilma Rudolph Scholarship

Wilma Rudolph
Athlete, Track and Field Athlete (1940–1994)
In 1960, Wilma Rudolph became the first American woman to win three gold medals in track and field at a single Olympics.

Born on June 23, 1940, in St. Bethlehem, Tennessee, Wilma Rudolph was a sickly child who had to wear a brace on her left leg. She overcame her disabilities to compete in the 1956 Summer Olympic Games, and in 1960, she became the first American woman to win three gold medals in track and field at a single Olympics. Later in life, she formed the Wilma Rudolph Foundation to promote amateur athletics. The Olympic great died on November 12, 1994, following a battle with brain cancer.
