20/10 Mentorship Scholarship

Through the Montgomery County Juvenile Court System, at-risk youth are eligible to apply for the 20/10 Mentorship Scholarship to assist with APSU tuition and fees. The selection will be done by committee which can include community investors, community volunteers, Montgomery County Juvenile Court personnel and APSU personnel.

  • Enrolled in or successfully completed the Montgomery County Juvenile Court at-risk program, 20/10 Mentorship

Aaron Schmidt Alumni Band Scholarship Endowment

This scholarship was established in honor of fallen Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Alan Scott Faircloth. A selection committee, headed by the residing APSU Director of the School of Nursing, will award one $500 scholarship.

This scholarship was established in 1990 by Mark S. and Martha Em Raby in recognition of Mrs. Raby's father's dedication to the community and significant involvement in public service. Alex Wootton was instrumental in establishing the EMS services in Clarksville/Montgomery County.

Established by the family of Cameron Ford Watts, who passed away in 1993, this endowed scholarship provides an award to a student registered with the Office of Disability Services. Gifts from numerous family members and friends created this endowment which is the first scholarship at Austin Peay designated specifically for a student with a disability.

Bruce Myers joined Austin Peay State University in 1970 as a mathematics professor. When the corpus has grown to a sufficient size that an additional scholarship may be provided without reducing the corpus, a second scholarship will begin, one in journalism and one in political science.

The Warren-Northington Political Science Scholarship is established in memory of Vernon, Sr., Delta Warren, M.C. III, and Nancy Northington. The scholarship also is in memory of Dr. Vernon Warren, Professor of Political Science, who taught at Austin Peay for 38 years. Dr. Vernon Warren's wife, Nell Northington Warren, finalized the establishment of this scholarship in October 2005 after Dr. Warren's death on September 13, 2005.

Wilma Rudolph Scholarship

Wilma Rudolph
Athlete, Track and Field Athlete (1940–1994)
In 1960, Wilma Rudolph became the first American woman to win three gold medals in track and field at a single Olympics.
 
Born on June 23, 1940, in St. Bethlehem, Tennessee, Wilma Rudolph was a sickly child who had to wear a brace on her left leg. She overcame her disabilities to compete in the 1956 Summer Olympic Games, and in 1960, she became the first American woman to win three gold medals in track and field at a single Olympics. Later in life, she formed the Wilma Rudolph Foundation to promote amateur athletics. The Olympic great died on November 12, 1994, following a battle with brain cancer.
